CLUTE TEXAS ― August 26, 2006. A team of four COT members has won the 2006 Scholastic Bowl, a fundraiser held today to benefit the Brazosport Planetarium and The Center for the Arts and Sciences. COT members Jerry Eppner, Katherine Laney, Carol Jones, and Barbara Burkhardt answered general-knowledge questions on subjects such as science, the arts, history, geography, current events and local interest. According to Scholastic Bowl chairman James Heller, the questions were presented in three rounds and answered on paper.
